This is not a joke, this is real meditation—and really effective practices—for everyday life. This book is a reference for you to come back to again and again. Integrate these tips into your daily life, or pull it off the shelf when you need a boost.

“Liza Kindred’s new book has over 100 tips and tricks to help me reach a peaceful state when I’m feeling overwhelmed. The best part is that Kindred provides multiple ways to relieve stress in as little as a minute.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“A bright delight of a book! It's the kind of book you'll not want to tuck away on a shelf, but keep handy nearby; you truly can open this book up any time, to any page, and find an inspiring and accessible "quick tip" to decompress, tame an over-noisy mind, or find inspiration for a sweet way to connect with your brilliant inner teacher.“

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The heart of this book, for me, is the message the fact that our most troublesome feelings — the worst! fear, avoidance, I'm-not-even-close-to-being-enough — aren't our enemies and that it is normal to have them. There is nothing to fix, but we can have a different experience. And while lots of books can tell you the benefits of self-compassion and befriending your experience, many of them are short on ways that you can actually practice it, or are overly prescriptive, telling you that only these few things and these things only work. This book is the opposite of that: wise, loving, generous, and abundantly filled with things to try, grounded in real-life experience. “

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Liza’s vulnerability, silliness and honesty make me feel like she’s writing to a friend — her book is inviting and easy-to-keep-reading. Whether I have a short moment for some deep breaths or an extended time, this book has so many helpful ideas. The creativity, simplicity and kindness-to-self that this book offers is both meaningful and easily implemented into my life — I just needed Liza to show me some ideas to get going.“

Mindful Minute

🕒 The practices in the book range in length from one minute to a weekend. The longer practices are super beneficial and well worth the time! But a lot of people are surprised to learn that they can make a big impact in just sixty seconds.

Why don’t you take one minute–right now–and try one of these practices from the book:

# 002 : See-Hear-Feel

This is a quick tip to help connect you to the present moment. Take a deep breath and just notice:

  • Three things you see

  • Three things you hear

  • Three things you feel

Feelings can be physical, emotional, or energetic. Take a deep breath and re-engage, more fully present.

# 016 : Three + H20

Grab a glass of water and turn away from all of your screens. Drink some water, and then take three long, deep, concentrating on making your exhale longer each time. Unclench your jaw. Flutter your lips. Relax your forehead. Stretch your hands and wrists. Drink some more water.

# 024 : Ear Pull

This one might sound weird, but it’s one of our most popular practices. Watch the (less then sixty second!) instructional video here and try it for yourself.
